Sorry, no. Since Clover Dust Cakes is in my home you will need to make an appointment.
When should I order?
Custom wedding cakes should be ordered 2 to 3 months in advance. If your wedding is sooner than that, please give us a call and we will see if our schedule and your design will allow us to fit you in.
Custom birthday cakes, custom cupcakes, and cake pops should be ordered no later than 2 weeks before the event. We highly recommend ordering well in advance of that since our schedule fills up fast. 1 month is preferred.
How do I order?
The best way to start your order is by giving us a call or send a message. Please know your event date and approximately how many people will need to be served. We will immediately let you know if the date has an opening and start helping you design your cake.
How much cake should I order?
That depends on what type of cake you want and how many people are expected. If your cake is a sculpted cake it will depend on the size and we will help you figure out how much to order. If you are ordering a tiered cake please take a look at our cake serving guide for an idea of what size and how many tiers to order. We will still help you with your decision when designing your cake.
Can I make changes after I order?
Changes can be requested up to 1 week before your event. We can not guarantee we will be able to make changes but we will do our best to accommodate your request.
How do I pay?
Clover Dust Cakes accepts cash, check and credit card. Credit cards will have a 3% processing fee and can be paid on line. Checks can be mailed to 6722 New Hampshire Trail, Crystal Lake, IL 60012. If you prefer to pay cash we can arrange a day / time to meet.
What is your payment policy?
A 60% deposit is required to secure your order and date. The remainder will be due when the cake is delivered.
If you have to cancel your event, the deposit is only 50% refundable if the cancellation is made 3 weeks before your event. If the cancellation is less than 3 weeks before the event, the deposit is non-refundable.
Tastings must be paid in full at time of booking and are non-refundable.

Do you deliver?
Yes! As a matter of fact, we prefer it for any tall cakes or cakes over 1 tier tall. Quite often cakes have to be assembled at the location. Delivery is free within a 15 mile radius. Delivery charges for locations more than that are TBD.
How do I cut my cake?
Tiered cakes will have a “cake round” - usually cardboard between tiers. This makes it easier for you to separate the tiers for easier cutting. If your cake has more than 1 tier, there will be supports in all but the top tier. Occasionally there will be a dowel through some or all tiers that will need to be pulled out before separating the tiers. To get the most servings out of your cake.
